ℹ️ General Information
What is AryaTune?
AryaTune is a professional studio-grade audio editing & tuning application. It lets you tune, trim, merge, fade, convert, mix, and enhance your audio files — all from your phone.
Is AryaTune free to use?
Yes! AryaTune is free with ads. Upgrading to Premium removes all ads and unlocks advanced features.
What audio formats does AryaTune support?
AryaTune supports importing MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, and OPUS audio files, and exporting to MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, and M4A depending on module requirements.
Does AryaTune work offline?
Yes — all core audio editing features work fully offline. An internet connection is needed for ads to show and consent verification on first launch.
How do I import an audio file?
Tap the Select Audio File button on the module page to open the Audio Browser & select the audio file which you want to edit.
✂️ Editing Tools
What does the Trim tool do?
Trim lets you cut a precise segment from your audio file by dragging start and end markers.
What is the Merge tool?
Merge combines two or more audio files into a single track sequentially. You can also apply crossfade between each clip.
What does Reverse Audio do?
It creates a mirrored version of your audio — playing it backwards. Great for creative effects or ringtones.
What does Volume++ do?
Volume Booster increases the overall volume of your audio using professional gain-staging. It's useful for tracks that were recorded too quietly.
What does the Fade tool do?
It applies a smooth fade-in and/or fade-out effect to your audio, preventing abrupt starts or endings.
What does the Equalizer do?
The Equalizer lets you boost or cut specific frequency bands (bass, mid, treble) to shape the tone of your audio. It also has many preset effects which you can use for your audio.
💾 Exporting Files
Where are my exported files saved?
By default, exports are saved to your device's AryaTune folder. You can set a custom export folder in Settings → Default Export Folder.
What is export bitrate?
Bitrate controls the data density of your exported audio. Higher bitrate = larger file + better sound. Adjustable in Settings.
What sample rate should I use?
44.1kHz is CD standard and the best choice for music. 48kHz is ideal for video audio sync. 32kHz saves storage and is great for speech/podcasts.
Why is my export taking a long time?
Large files or complex effects (like Normalization and EQ) require more processing. Enable Multi-core Export in Settings (Pro) to significantly speed up rendering.
💎 Premium Features
What does Premium unlock?
Premium removes all ads and unlocks all pro-only features in the application.
Is Premium a one-time purchase or subscription?
Both options are available. Please check the Upgrade to Pro screen in the app for the current pricing model. We aim to offer the best value for our users.
I purchased Premium but it's not activated. What do I do?
Ensure you're signed into the same Google account used for the purchase. Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, tap Email Support in the About screen to contact us.
Does Premium transfer to a new phone?
Yes. As long as you use the same Google Play account, your Premium purchase is tied to your account and can be restored on any device.
🔒 Permissions & Privacy
Why does AryaTune need storage permission?
Storage permission is required to read your audio files and save exported results to your device. AryaTune only accesses files you explicitly open.
Why does AryaTune need microphone permission?
Microphone permission is needed for the recording features. It is never used to record without your knowledge.
Does AryaTune collect personal data?
AryaTune does not collect or store any personal data. The only data-sharing occurs through Google AdMob (for free users), which is governed by Google's privacy policy.
How do I manage or revoke permissions?
Go to Settings → Manage Permissions in the app, or navigate to Android Settings → Apps → AryaTune → Permissions to review and adjust any permission at any time.
🎛️ Troubleshooting
The app crashes when I open a file. What should I do?
Make sure the file is in a supported format (MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, M4A). Corrupted files may also cause crashes. Try a different file to confirm.
My audio has crackling/glitching during preview.
Increase the Preview Buffer Size in Settings → Performance → Preview Buffer Size. Switch from 'Fast' to 'Balanced' or 'Stable' mode.
The waveform is not displaying correctly.
Try clearing the app cache: go to Settings → Project Safety → Clear Now. This resets temporary waveform data without deleting your files.
Export finished but I can't find my file.
Check the default export folder set in Settings → Default Export Folder. If not set, look in your device's AryaTune folder or use a file manager app.
The app feels slow or unresponsive.
Clear the cache and restart the app. On low-RAM devices, close other apps first.
How do I report a bug?
Tap the 3-dot menu → About → Report a Bug. This opens an email draft with helpful diagnostic info pre-filled. We review all reports and aim to respond within 48 hours.
🎙️ Recording & Microphones
How do I record audio directly in the app?
Go to the Record Screen, tap the Mic icon & hit Start.
Can I use an external USB microphone or Bluetooth headset?
Yes! Connect your device via USB-C or Bluetooth & enable nearby devices permission in the app. It will automatically detect it.
My recording has too much background noise. How do I fix it?
Record in a quiet room using a directional microphone, or use the 'Input Noise Gate' setting in the Recording Settings to silence low-level background noise.
Can I record in stereo or only mono?
AryaTune supports both! You can select Stereo or Mono recording mode in Recording Settings, depending on whether your device's built-in or external mic supports it.
